Hardscape Estimator is a free collection of calculators that tell you how much material to order for a hardscape or landscape project — pavers, gravel, crushed stone, concrete, retaining wall blocks, mulch and soil.
Why we built it
Ordering too little means a second delivery fee; ordering too much means a pile of stone you paid for and can’t use. Our calculators turn your measurements into cubic yards, tons, bag counts and pieces, with a waste allowance built in.
How we make our numbers
Every calculator shows its formula and a worked example. Material weights (densities) come from published supplier and industry data, and we list the value we use so you can adjust it to your local supplier’s figure.
Estimates are a planning aid. Always confirm final quantities with your supplier or contractor, especially for structural work like footings and retaining walls.
